The Hoyt team did an incredible job remodeling our home…all the way from bidding the project to the final walk-through. They made us feel like we were their only customer. The most impressive quality to us was that through every bump in the road, Wade and his team ALWAYS did the right thing…not what was easiest or most profitable for the company.
They are a classy, honest and hard—working group of people and it was a pleasure to work with all of them. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a general contractor who is going to go the extra mile for you. On top of all of that, they finished the job on time and on budget!!! What more can you ask for!
I deem myself exceptionally fortunate to have happened on Hoyt Homes via the Water’s Edge development in East Missoula. When I made the decision to move to Missoula in January 2017, the Water’s Edge development website caught my attention, and I thought it seemed a good candidate to explore. I was impressed by the Phase 1 homes already developed, and the Phase 2 homes were intriguing to me, as the base design was just what I was looking for. Add to that the location of the development on the north bank of the Clark Fork River in East Missoula, the idea of living there seemed a dream. When I visited Missoula in March 2017, I had the opportunity to walk through two of the completed Phase 2 homes in Water’s Edge, and immediately knew that I had to live there. Hoyt Homes’ craftsmanship and execution, as well as the exemplary work of the sub-contractors Hoyt Homes works with, was evident in every detail. I still pinch myself every morning when I get up in my new home, and with my coffee in hand watch the Clark Fork River flow through my storybook living room windows. Hoyt Homes truly did create for me my Casa Paradiso. Hats off to Wade and his team!

When I first conceived the idea for Water‘s Edge I wanted a project that would be as unique as the site on which it was to be built. I hired Don MacArthur with MMW Architects & Planners to help me develop the plan and to design the homes to be built at Waters Edge
When it came to selecting a builder, I was looking for someone that would give Water’s Edge the personal attention and care to detail that I felt it needed to truly become a one of a kind project. I considered most of Missoula’s premier builders and interviewed several of them, including Wade Hoyt. Wade and I had been friends for many years and I had worked with him on several projects that he had built for himself or other clients; however I had never had him build anything for me. After giving it a great deal of consideration I decided that Wade and Hoyt Homes would be the right fit for Water’s Edge, and now nearly two years into the planning and construction process it is patently clear that I made the right choice.
To say that I am pleased with the job that Hoyt Homes has done for Water’s Edge would be an enormous understatement. Wade and his professional staff have done everything I could have ever expected of them and so much more. Wade handled the construction of the homes that have been built to date at Waters Edge, which includes the exteriors of two duplex/style townhome buildings, finishing the interiors of two of these units for use as model homes (one side of each building), and installation of footings and utility connections for another two unit building.
Wade and his staff worked with the Architects, the interior designer and my wife and I to plan the homes, select materials and subcontractors that would meet our standards for quality and workmanship while at the same time getting the best prices possible for all of these services. During the construction process he provided daily, personal on/site attention to every detail that went into making the homes at Waters Edge truly a work of art. The attention to detail and the craftsmanship are as fine as you will find anywhere in Missoula. Both models at Waters Edge were on the Parade of Homes (one in 2008 and the other in 2009) and received rave reviews by all that attended. The Stoneybrook model won the “Craftsmanship” and “Memorable Decor” awards in 2009, a testament to the care and quality of workmanship Hoyt Homes, their staff and subcontractors put into these homes.
Wade also served as the general contractor for the site improvements which included all infrastructures for the first phase of Waters Edge, including streets, sewer, water, storm drainage and landscaping. He dealt with us the owners, the architect, the landscape architect, the engineer, two infrastructure contractors (one for the water main & services and another for the sewer services, streets, grading 65: storm drainage work) and the landscaping & irrigation contractors. All work was completed in a timely and professional manner without a hitch.
I am most pleased to say that Hoyt Homes are part of the Water’s Edge team and we look forward to an ongoing relationship with them as it continues to be built out over the next few years. I can highly recommend Wade and Hoyt Homes to anyone that is interested in getting a first class product at a fair price while working with a great group of honest, hardworking and truly caring people.

Perfection is the one word that summarizes the workmanship of Hoyt Homes. Having done our due diligence, we hired Hoyt to build our home at Canyon River mainly because their reputation for quality and dependability preceded them; they met or exceeded our every expectation. The office staff, Shelley and Greg, are efficient, friendly and easy to work with. Wade and Jeremy were hands on, assuring that the construction went smoothly and was completed on a timely basis. From the big ticket items to the smallest of details, the quality and pride of construction show through. With all the decisions to make, the process of having a new home built was hectic at times. The experience, knowledge and integrity of the Hoyt folks alleviated most of the worries. We highly recommend Hoyt Homes.

Integrity, Quality Construction, Craftsmanship, and Superior Customer Service. These words come to mind when we reflect upon our experience with Wade Hoyt and the staff of Hoyt Homes.
Having never built a home from the ground up, we had no idea of what would be involved during this process. With the expert guidance of Wade and his staff, we were rewarded with a beautiful, solid, quality built custom home. Through the many phases and details of construction and finishing, we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with Wade, the Hoyt Homes staff and the subcontractors — all were professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with.
Construction began in January – imagine our surprise when at the onset Wade presented us with a project timeline to complete our home in June. In the end, Hoyt Homes completed the project ahead of schedule!
Each step of the way, Wade and his staff provided excellent customer service and responsiveness to any inquiries or changes that came along. They instilled in us a sense of confidence and integrity and pride in the services and products upon which their names rest, Hoyt Homes.
The relationship continued after we settled into our Hoyt home — we have received the same professional, courteous and quick follow-up and resolution to any question or problem that arose. Hoyt Homes truly excels in providing superior customer service to their clients before, during and after the project’s completion.
We cannot thank you enough for building a beautiful home we take pride in ownership and enjoy sharing with our friends and family.

We are nearly finished with the remodel of our 100 year old university district home. Wade Hoyt has been with us from the beginning. We consulted with him before we made an offer on our home over three years ago, to see if our remodel vision would be possible. When we hired an architect, Wade was present for our planning meetings, bringing a practical perspective to our ideas.
Our project was large in scope. The kitchen was gutted, expanded and now connects to a newly added family room with a fireplace. The family room opens to a raised outdoor multilevel terrace with a fire pit. Above the family room is an outdoor deck with a wrought iron railing, specially crafted to mimic the design of the home’s original leaded glass windows. The project also included a new mudroom and a new double garage.
We could not be more happy and satisfied with our finished product. We can honestly say that our renovation exceeded our expectations. Wade’s attention to detail and finish work is remarkable, which we believe sets Hoyt Homes apart from its competitors. For example, our home has very detailed corbels. Wade copied the original corbels, added them to the addition and sized them for the new garage. He even modified the corbel design for a very special glass—covered breezeway between our home and the new garage.
Inside, the finishes again exceeded our expectations. The original moldings were carefully copied and reproduced. No detail was too small to be considered important. In addition, Wade personally monitored the subcontractors’ work to see that they met his high standards.
We recommend Hoyt Homes for any project, but particularly for a very challenging renovation of a historic structure. Wade anticipates complications and has the solutions ready before those complications arise.

We looked at a few “Hoyt Homes” in the area and really liked the look, feel and quality of the homes. We engaged with Wade Hoyt and Team to discuss building a custom home, what a positive experience from start to finish! Starting from the initial meeting, and through all subsequent meetings with Hoyt’s sub-contractors whom are all very professional, courteous and helpful. At the end of the day we are living in our Hoyt built “Quality Custom Home.” A few words should be said about the Hoyt team. The office team is great to work with and always bend over backwards to satisfy their customer needs and requests. We absolutely recommend “Hoyt Homes” for all your building needs.

We hired the Hoyt team based on recommendations from real estate agents we know. Wade and Shelley were up front with the expected costs being slightly more than other contractors in the area to build our “Forever Home”. We knew we would be upgrading most of the finishes so the additional cost did not concern us.
The project started on time, and as things progressed Jeremy and Wade explained what was going on and why they had to do things in a certain way or specific sequence.
When I had questions the Hoyt team usually got back to us the same day even if things came up on a weekend. Any concerns we had were addressed completely and efficiently to our satisfaction for our peace of mind.
The quality of construction, materials used, and attention to detail set Hoyt Homes at a level other contractors would have difficulty achieving.
During one of our many planning stages at the Hoyt office, I made a comment about the insulated vent ducting for the bathrooms in the house and shop as I never would have thought to use insulated duct for that application. Wade told me that the insulated ducting is a code requirement. I replied that I would have not known the difference if they had not installed the ducting in that manner. Wade’s reply was ” I would have known and that is not how we do things here”.
Integrity and pride in workmanship defines the Hoyt philosophy in building our home.
